The St. Petersburg Police Department, Pinellas Park Police Department, Gulfport Police Department, and Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office are hosting an exciting and educational experience for the youth in Pinellas County. The academy offers youth insights into how law enforcement performs their duties and how law enforcement serves the community.

Week 1: July 18,19,20

Week 2: July 25,26,27,28

Time: 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Graduation: July 28

2:00 PM – 3:30 PM

Family and Friends Invited RSVP required

 

Requirements

• Open to young men and women between the ages of 14-18 years old

• Currently enrolled and attending high school in Fall 2017

• Cost $25 for academy

• Pass a background check

• Complete the application and turn in by July 1

• Ability to perform physical exercises

• Hold harmless agreements and photo/media release will all be required

• Lunch will only be provided on Friday (Graduation day)

• Youth will need transportation to and from site for the day

• An officer will contact the parent once the application is received to confirm acceptance

• Only 35 seats available
