Christopher Kirn was a member of Post 900 circa 1992-1993.  "Although my career was a short one I gained a lot of valuable life lessons and experiences that would help me immensely later during my career as a Deputy Sheriff.  Since my days of being an Explorer, I graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelors Degree, and later went on to the Police Academy.  Upon graduation from the academy, I was accepted at the Sheriff’s Office.  After 3 years of serving in Patrol, I served as a Field Training for 5 years.  I was then given the opportunity to become a Detective in our Property Crimes Section where I am currently assigned.  I am now an Assistant Team Leader for our C.I.S.M Team and I’m also on the Hostage Negotiator Team.  Added to all these other responsibilities I am also a Polygraph Operator."

"The Explorer Program was a great period of time in my life and I am thankful for the Advisors that I had during my tenure there.  I am grateful for Merilee Bennett, Barry Colbath and Jeff Philips for the guidance they provided me during my time as an Explorer."

Michael J. LaSalle was a member of the Post for about two years.  During his time with the Post, he learned many of the essential tools that he now uses in the Military.  As of 4/1/09 he is 3rd class Petty Officer in the United Stats Navy.  He is currently on deployment onboard the U.S.S. Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71)  supporting operations in and around Afghanistan.  During his free time, he located the Post website and the Former Explorer page.  He initiated contact and requested to be part of our "past".  Welcome abord Michael and thank you for your service to our country.
